Privacy Policy

TidyMonitor is an uptime monitoring service. It is run by Probaziz, Tamil Nadu, India (“we”). For the personal data described below, we decide why and how it is used (a “Data Fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the “DPDP Act”).

• Account: email address, a hashed password (we never store the password itself), and your name if you give it.
• Monitors: the websites and URLs you ask us to check, your settings, and the results: whether each site was up, how fast it answered, and the incidents (outages) we recorded.
• Alert channels: the email addresses, WhatsApp numbers and webhook URLs you add so we can reach you or your team, and the alerts we send to them.
• Billing: if you pay, your billing name, address, state and GSTIN (if you give one), plan, and payment status and reference numbers. Payments are taken by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Technical data: basic request logs (such as IP address and browser) kept by our servers to run and secure the service.

• To run the monitoring you asked for and send you alerts.
• To verify your email address and WhatsApp number (a one-time code is sent to the number you add).
• To take payments, issue GST invoices and keep tax records.
• To reply to your messages and send service notices (for example, an SSL certificate about to expire, or a billing problem).
• To keep the service secure and fix faults.
• To improve the app, only if you agree (see How we measure use).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

We use service providers for these jobs. Each receives only what it needs for its job.

• WhatsApp messaging: sends WhatsApp alerts and verification codes. It receives the WhatsApp number and the message.
• Email delivery: sends our emails (verification, alerts, notices). It receives the email address and the message.
• Payments: takes payments and manages subscriptions. It receives your payment details directly; we receive only the status and reference numbers.
• Invoicing: produces your GST invoices. It receives your billing name, address, GSTIN and the invoice amount.
• Network and security: DNS, content delivery and traffic routing for our sites and API, and cookieless page counts on this website.
• Hosting: the servers that hold our application and data, in Singapore. The workers that check your sites run from Mumbai and Chennai (India) and from Singapore; each is sent your monitor settings, including the URL, so it can check it.
• Product analytics (European Union): app usage analytics, only if you opt in. See below.

Some of these providers are outside India. The DPDP Act allows this unless the Government restricts a country.

On tidymonitor.com we use a cookieless web analytics service to count page visits. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across sites. We see totals only, such as how many people opened a page and which website sent them.

Inside the TidyMonitor app (app.tidymonitor.com), and only if you agree when you sign up, we record how the app is used so we can make it easier to set up and use. We record things like “a monitor was added” or “the plans page was opened”, together with a random id that stands for your account. We do not record your email address, name, phone number, the addresses of the websites you monitor, anything you type, your IP address, or recordings of your screen. We never track the public status pages you publish.

This data is processed for us by a product analytics provider and stored on its servers in the European Union. We use it only to improve TidyMonitor. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or share it with anyone else. We keep it for up to 12 months.

You can say no at signup and change your mind at any time under Settings > Usage analytics. If you turn it off, we stop recording and delete what was recorded about your account. This does not change how TidyMonitor works for you. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a no.

• This website (tidymonitor.com): we set no cookies. Our network provider may set a technical cookie to protect and route traffic.
• The app: when you log in, your browser keeps your sign-in tokens and basic profile in its local storage so you stay signed in. This is needed for the service and is removed when you log out.
• App analytics: only after you opt in (see above).

• Account and monitors: while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete this data within 30 days. Anonymous check records (results without your name or contact details) are kept for up to 12 months.
• Check history (unhealthy checks and state changes): 7 to 90 days, depending on your plan.
• Incident history: 1, 3 or 6 months, depending on your plan.
• Billing and invoice records: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting (8 years), even after the account is deleted.
• App analytics: up to 12 months, and deleted earlier if you withdraw consent or delete your account.
• Backups: we keep encrypted backup copies of the service's data, including check history, for up to 24 months, then delete them. When you delete your account or your data is removed, copies already in backups are deleted as those backups expire, within 24 months. Backups are only used to recover the service.

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we share it with;
• ask us to correct or complete it;
• ask us to erase it (we may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records);
• withdraw a consent you gave (for example, usage analytics); withdrawing does not affect what was done before;
• get your complaints answered (see below);
• nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act.

To use any of these, email [email protected] from the email address of your account. We may ask you to confirm it is you. Most things you can also change yourself in the app.

If we do not resolve your complaint, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Traffic between you and TidyMonitor is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure.

If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires (without delay, and the Board within 72 hours of becoming aware of it).

TidyMonitor is for businesses and adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email.
