TidyMonitor compared with UptimeRobot and Better Stack
Looking for an UptimeRobot alternative in India? Here is how we line up on price per website, check speed, WhatsApp alerts and how a failure is confirmed (see how Confirmed Alerts work). Everything about the other two comes from their own pages, read on 7 Oct 2026.

Better Stack is a different shape
Better Stack sells one paid licence per person on your team. It includes on-call scheduling, incident management and unlimited phone and SMS alerts, with monitoring as one part of it. If you need that, it is built for it. A per-monitor price is shown above only so you can see the numbers, not as a like-for-like comparison.
Which one should you pick?
All three do the basic job. They are built for different people, so here is where each one fits best.
Pick UptimeRobot if
- You watch more than 50 websites: their Team plan has 100 monitors and Scale has 200.
- You need checks faster than every minute: theirs go down to 15 seconds on Scale.
- You want SMS or phone-call alerts. They sell them by credits.
- You want the biggest free plan: 50 monitors, checked every 5 minutes.
Pick Better Stack if
- You have a team that takes turns being on call, and you want the rota, incident handling and monitoring in one product.
- You want phone and SMS alerts for the person on call.
- You need checks every 30 seconds.
Pick TidyMonitor if
- You want the alert on WhatsApp, on every paid plan.
- You want to pay in rupees, by UPI if you like, with GST in the price and a GST invoice for every payment.
- You watch up to 50 websites and every minute is fast enough.
- You want checks from Mumbai, Chennai and Singapore: Starter and Pro are monitored from 3 locations and alert when they agree.
Paying from India
Both companies list their prices in US dollars (UptimeRobot pricing, Better Stack pricing). Paying a dollar price from India usually needs a card that is switched on for international payments. Your bank converts the amount at its own rate and may add a charge, so the rupee amount can change from one month to the next.
We have not checked whether either company bills in rupees, accepts UPI or gives a GST invoice. If that matters to you, ask them before you pay. TidyMonitor is billed in rupees through Razorpay: UPI, cards and netbanking all work, every price includes GST, and every payment comes with a GST invoice.

Questions about switching
- Is TidyMonitor cheaper than UptimeRobot?
- For 10 to 20 websites, yes per website: Starter is ₹799 a month for 20 websites, incl. GST, and their Solo plan is $10 a month for 10 monitors (about ₹970 at ₹97 to the dollar). At about 50 websites the two are in the same range. Their free plan is bigger than ours: 50 monitors against our 10 websites.
- Do UptimeRobot or Better Stack send WhatsApp alerts?
- When we read their pages, WhatsApp was not among the integrations UptimeRobot lists and was not on Better Stack's pricing page. Check their pages for today's answer. We send WhatsApp alerts on every paid plan, 30 to 600 messages a month by plan.
- Which one checks most often?
- They do. UptimeRobot goes down to every 15 seconds on its Scale plan and Better Stack to every 30 seconds. We check every minute on paid plans and every 3 minutes on Free.
